Database Security Audit & Hardening

I will conduct a database security audit and implement a hardening configuration — covering user account and privilege review, principle of least privilege enforcement, SQL injection vulnerability assessment in stored procedures, data at rest encryption, audit logging configuration, network access control, password policy, and a security findings report. Database security is consistently the most underinvested area of database administration; default database configurations expose superuser accounts, grant excessive privileges to application users, and have no audit logging of data access — creating compliance and breach liability that a systematic hardening exercise eliminates.

The audit covers user account inventory and privilege mapping, superuser and administrative account review, application user privilege reduction to minimum required, SQL injection review of existing stored procedures and views, Transparent Data Encryption or tablespace encryption configuration, audit log setup for privileged operations, network-level access restriction, and a security hardening report documenting every finding and change.
