My love and passion for the internet started at just 13 years old when I created my own website and created my first blogging platform on Livejournal.
I started interning at Don't Panic in 2008 working on their Myspace page, engaging with fans, putting out bulletins about events and current news. Updating their page and sourcing information from other website that fit into the 'youth culture' that Don't Panic portrays.
I started working at a marketing company in 2009 on social media campaigns for Models Own, London Calling & Fudge Urban. Building strageties and engaging with fans over Twitter and Facebook as well as maintaing their blog which was set on Wordpress.
In 2010 I created my own blog to follow my love for fashion, art, design, photography and other creative outlets - deerbrains.com. This has become very success and achieves up to 15,000 hits per month and has had interest with reknown fashion design Alice Temperly, graphic designer Kate Moross and interest from models Daisy Lowe and Georgie Jagger.
I also started freelance work for a streetwear store called Street Casuals. Focusing on their PR and Social Media campaigns. Gaining press in the Metro, Hypbeast, The Daily Street, FHM, Bizaare magazine, Rock Sound and more. As well as gaining a steady rise of followers for their Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr.
I left the marketing company in 2011 to gain more experience within PR.
In September 2011 started to work for an exclusive online shopping experience company called Free to be Supreme. Gaining press with fashion bloggers such as Fashion Train and Gem Fatale as well as building a steady following via their social media platforms. Which I have now left.
I also started at a vintage boutique in Brighton called TRAMP which I gained press in the local magazines such as Pretty Litter, Source and vintage magazines such as Vintage Brighton and Vintage life. I also set up meetings with bloggers to visit the store and take images for their blogs. This coverage went on Fashion Daydreams and some other successful blogs. I also arranged to have items sent to vintage girls Polly Rae and Betty Flowers for press shots and credits. Which I have now left.
In 2012 I took on a brand called TukTuk which is a menswear brand specialising in bespoke shirts. I gained press with Esquire, Lineage of Influence, The White List and other supreme menswear blogging sites. Which I have now left.
I also started jewellery brand Love My Custom which has had a storming success with Little Mix, WAH nails, Venice nails, Stooshe, Shystie, Rita Ora, Tanya Lacey and Kelly Rowland all wearing their pieces as well gaining press in PRIDE magazine and the Metro. Which I have now left.
Taking me up to July 2013. I am currently doing between 2 hours per day for Street Casuals and working on fixed price jobs from clients in the past to new ones on Peopleperhour.com I have also been successful in carrying out strageties at a fixed rate of £50 for NHS, Luxury travel homes, various charities and campaigns. I am also holding a commision based project with Apartment 58.
I have gained a wide range of social media skills, PR contacts, celebrity stylist contacts (Rita Ora, Beyonce, Kardashians, Stooshe, Ellie Goulding etc), blogging contacts (male and female) and magazine and tabloid press contacts.
Late 2013 saw me working for The Cult PR handing an event for Arabella Drummond - her amazing store One by One. I was in charge of inviting press, celebs, paps which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Bringing this up to date (13/11/16) I have since worked for Endomondo, My Fitness Pal, Under Armour, Young Voices, HOME Studios (EDWIN, Sandvquist, Monekel), Afield, Novum, Rock Solid (Diamond Supply, Butter Goods, 5Boro), Noer Organics, Well Spirited PR (Higher Selfie, Ebonie Allard, To Dive For, The Happy - health and wellbeing), writing for the amazing ethical fashion house People Tree, Wedgie and a few more.
The Cult PR asked me to come in again in August 2016 to carry out work for BBC Spectacular Proms, Amy Winehouse Foundation and 7th Heaven.
I am very determined to create a great buzz for the brands I work for. My job is something that I truly love and I ensure to be hardworking, fluent, forward thinking, friendly and logical in the work I take on.
Thank you.
Stephanie
