What you get with this Offer

Offering a professional product design and CAD illustration service. I model anything from headphones to skateboards, additionally I can 3D print your product into a fully functional prototype. The £35 is per hour. Typically a detailed model costs up to £700 for initial prototype.

    What you get for £400:

    - Convert your idea or sketch into 3D CAD model
    - Fully assembled CAD files
    - High resolution photo realistic renders (with choice of materials, colours, environments etc)
    - Quote for high quality 3d printed model (and printing on request)

That covers a design that's reasonably complex, some simple designs I can do for cheaper but if the geometry is particularly complicated or there's a large number of moving components It may be more.

Typically I can provide finished drawings within a day or two subject to complexity.

I can inform the relevant details outlining how best to produce your design.

Absolutely anything you can image I can illustrate, weather you have an exact idea of what you want or if your still at the conceptual stage of the design. Always happy to walk though the design with you.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions,

    Thanks a bunch

As always Elliot delivered great results. A careful eye for detail he was happy making lots of alterations till the end result looked exactly as I wanted. He stuck to the initaly quoted price despite the job growing in complexity after he started.
      Really impressive.

My Name is Elliot Colley. I’m a design Engineer with 10 years 3D CAD design and 3D printing experience. I have degree in industrial design of which I graduated with first class honors in 2009. Since my experience in university I worked as a freelance CAD designer for many businesses leading on to the opening of Microworkshops Ltd (CAD & 3D printing service) established in 2014

    --3dhubs
    -battle mccarthy

What do microworkshops 3d CAD & printing provide?

In a nutshell, I help inventors take an idea from a sketch to a mass produced product.

I have worked on products from extreme sports headphones, automated robots right through to experimental skateboards. I have a small team of CAD designer/engineers. We specialize in CAD/CAM but specifically injection mold production and aluminum extrusion. So if you’re hoping to mass produce a product I can help from concept stage to mold making. We use extremely advance 3D modelling software which allows us to create complex geometry and micro meter accuracy so all designs are ready for production using computer aided machinery. Microworkshops has contacts worldwide for plastic production so we work closely with mold makers in the UK or china to get components that are defect free and easily mold-able.

What kind of 3D Computer aided design do I provide?

I provide everything from Concept stage drawings to Photo Realistic Renderings and Manufacturing Drawings. I also cover more advanced engineering for higher budget clients. These included:
    Parametric modelling
    Advanced surface modelling

What kind of 3d printing do I provide?

I provide FDM, SLA & SLS 3d printing (which is all classic 3d printing technologies).
Our in house prototyping equipment consist of:
4 x Rep rap printers (FDM)
2 x SLA resin printers (SLA)
Materials – ABS, PLA, resin, nylon, brass composites, wood composites, rubber
Colors – white, black, clear, grey, silver, gold, blue, red, purple, blue, green
    Resolution 0.025mm – 0.3mm layer height

How does Microworkshops work with clients?

Through years of working with a variety of big companies to garage inventors I’ve established that the most efficient work flow is best achieved working ‘face to face’ on skype. It’s by far the easiest way to communicate effectively and allows the client to view the design through the CAD designers screen live. Amendments can be made there and then, you get to see how it works and it minimizes any chances of costly mistakes. You can contact directly searching skype name - elliot.colley1
It’s always a plus when my clients view the process live as it provides a basic understanding which intern makes for better communication. CAD design is complex but it’s not rocket science so if you have any questions regarding how it works I will be happy to give you a straight answer with no mystic terminology
