What you get with this Offer
You may have legacy programs written in older programming languages which you want re-written in C or C++. I can make this conversion for you.
The languages I can re-write are Fortran, Basic, Pascal and Modula-2. If you have other languages feel free to ask.
The price quoted is for 100 lines or less of code. For more than 100 lines you can buy several units: click on the + button at top right of the purchase web page.
The number of lines is the number of lines of code, not counting blank lines or lines of pure comment.
For anything more than 500 lines the delivery time may be longer. We can discuss that.
I will test the resulting C/C++ programs, provided of course that you provide me with adequate test data and the expected output. I will check that my rewrite produces your output from your test data.
If you don't have such test data I can probably advise on its creation, though that would be a separate project if it involved significant work.
In converting I may occasionally make recommendations for minor changes to the algorithm. It will be your choice whether you want these changes. If I were to suggest major changes that would have to be a separate project.
LIMITATIONS
I assume your program runs and produces the desired output.
I assume input is from keyboard or file and output is to screen or file. If your program handles sound or images directly (microphone, camera, etc.) I might not be able to help.
If your program involves operating-system-specific system calls I can probably handle them if your program runs on Windows or Linux. If it involves complicated interaction with the GUI this might not be possible, but feel free to ask.
My rewritten program might run faster or slower than your original. It might take more or less memory. This will depend on your compiler and is not something I can control.
My testing assumes your program runs on something like a desktop, laptop or server. The testing will probably be limited if your program involves real-world hardware, such as an embedded processor, or involves obscure operating system calls. But feel free to ask.
What I will supply you with is the new source code in C or C++. I cannot compile it for your system - you will have to do that, so you will need a C/C++ system running on your machine. Nor can I test it on your system.
I would expect to communicate with you (via PPH) to make sure I understand exactly what you want.
If you're not sure I can provide what you need, feel free to ask.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
- The full source code - don't delete blank or comment lines.
- A description of what the program does - what it is supposed to achieve.
- Any other documentation about the program.
- All test data and its expected output.
I would expect to communicate with you (via PPH) to make sure I understand exactly what you want.
