Beta read your manuscript (50,000 words)

You will get comprehensive and constructive feedback on your manuscript. I'll use the beta reading feedback template I created, which has more than 39 questions aimed to give you all the information you need to improve your manuscript before it goes to your editor. This includes:

The overall reading experience
What I liked and what I did not like
What I feel could be improved
If I was able to engage with the characters
If there was anything unclear (possible plot hole?)
If the story flows naturally
And whatever else you think may be important (you provide up to five questions you deem important for the chapters you provide).

Note:

If you'd like more than one beta reader, please let me know. I often work with other beta readers when an author requires more than one beta reader.


Questions:

Do you provide edits?
No, I do not. A beta reader reads an author's manuscript before it's edited or published, providing feedback on plot, character development, pacing, and overall readability so you can make adjustments before sending the work to an editor.

Will this remain confidential?
Yes, I will not disclose information regarding your manuscript to anyone. I will sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to reading your book.

What kind of questions should I provide?
If there is something in the chapters you provide that you are not sure about, ask me questions relating to that to ease your mind. For example: Is the motivation of [Character] in Chapter 6 to do this or that clear?

How many times will you read my manuscript?
I will read your manuscript once for each order and send you a PDF with my findings. If you'd like me to reread your manuscript after making edits, you'll have to contact me again to place a new order.
