London, GBI had the cv read by a native arab academic. He informs me that the cv was translated using Google, some of the words are out of context, I thought I was paying for a genuine translation. I may now loose the opportunity for a good job offer as a result of this poor translation.

Thanks for your feedback and critical points.
Being Arabic by mother tongue and having completed my earlier education at an Arabic country and completed my higher education in the UK, I had opportunities to work at Academic positions (teaching and research) in the UK and the middle east, and did a lot of translations for reports, documents, review technical books,...etc.
I honestly do not use Google as it lacks the human understanding of the context. it might translate a single word rightly, but not the context of two words or more unless you understand what is needed from these combination of words.
I read and translated the text and terms according to their meaning before returning it back. I have done couple of CVs for lectures at Universities and other organisations in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, UAE and they where all pleased with the output.
Translation will differ from one person to another based on the experience of the job and there will be no complete agreement on a translation of a text between two professional translators.
Thanks again.
