This was a 16-hour developer contest, so he had to work under extreme time pressure. Delivered a working app on schedule. The code quality is exceptionally good, well structured and shows great Android expertise. He deviated from the specs on occasions in view of making the app better. In some cases he was right, in other cases not. He documented all deviations properly, so we had clear info of what to expect. That's the code. The look and feel of the app is unacceptable. Controls are overlapping making some of them useless, despite the specs clearly stated the desired screen resolution and size. There are some minor but annoying bugs as well - again this was a time contest so if he had a few more hours I'm sure he could solve both the UI issues and the bugs.
