Thanks for talking me through the process David. Unfortunately the problem I had was with admin rights to my blog. I paid 25pounds for advice- we discussed the issue and tried to figure out a solution for about 1hour. To be fair to David I had no idea even what the issue was and David helped me identify this.
I still have the issue with not having admin rights to my blog but I'll find a cheaper way of resolving this....
