Glendale, AZ, USNot only did he only perform 1/4 of the work that he agreed to, he blackmailed me to get me to pay him the amount that he would have been paid if he had completed 1/2 of the work. He threatened to call my clients and tell them that I stole his content and wouldn't pay him. In fact, I told him that I would pay him 1/4 of the total monthly amount, which was rightfully fair. He again threatened me and the admins on People Per Hour told him that he's breaching the rules and regulations after they reviewed the account. Stay far away from this shady character.

Okay, Rachael, let’s get a few facts straight since you seem to have some sort of augmented reality where our interactions are concerned:
First of all, I find it interesting that you refused to list any of your faults in your negative review of me, this being my first negative review in 10+ years of freelancing. You, on the other hand, told me stories about how you were the victim of freelancers doing you wrong over and over and over again. I should have seen that as a warning sign and ran for the hills then. If you have so many problems with so many freelancers, and you’re the only common denominator, it’s a high probability that YOU are the problem.
Now, let’s set some facts straight from this review: 1) You said my work was “great” and “creative” and you “liked my style” in your emails. Your clients also responded to emails saying the content was “great” and “perfect.” Screenshots proved that. Yet, when I raised the invoice, you refused to pay (even going so far as to reject the invoice), even though my content was already on your clients’ social media accounts and blogs. That is called “stealing.” When you take something (even if it’s intellectual property) and use it for your own gain without paying for it, you are a thief. 2) I never blackmailed you, and I’ve raised the issue with PeoplePerHour and they’ve decided not to punish me like your review states. I told you that I would contact your clients and tell them to take down my content that they were profiting off of without paying for them. That’s not blackmail, that’s protecting my intellectual property, which, at the time, you had stolen. 3) You had nothing but great things to say until I emailed you and told you that, while on vacation, all my personal belongings, including my laptop, were stolen and I needed a few days to figure things out and get a new laptop, since I was on an island in the middle of nowhere. You didn’t even respond for 3 days. I had to email you back and ask if you got my email, and when you confirmed you received it, you showed absolutely no compassion for my situation, instead telling me you needed someone reliable and that just wasn’t me, and that this was a huge inconvenience to you. I was truly shocked, because all my other clients were so supportive of my situation, one even sending me $500 to help replace my laptop because they knew I had nothing anymore. Further in the dialogue you accused me of lying about being robbed and I provided you the police report (though in Dutch) as proof. You still showed no compassion which speaks to how heartless you truly are. 4) You say I only completed 1/4 of the work assigned to me, but you flat out refused to give up any control and let me do my job. I have screenshots where you told me that you wanted to handle Facebook and Google ads, which was part of my job. You even confirmed via email to me that the clients had halted all advertising because of duplicate charges on their account. How was I supposed to handle advertising when you wouldn’t relinquish any control and the client specifically said to pause it. I have the screenshots where you changed the scope of my work to just writing content, and I provided 2 of the 4 weeks agreed upon, and only charged you for 2 of the 4 weeks agreed upon. The only reason I abandoned your job (a first for me) was because of how difficult you are to work with.
I would encourage all freelancers to run as fast as you can from this buyer and her jobs. There’s a reason she has poor ratings on here, and she is not willing to pay for quality work yet demands you be available at her beckoned call.

Bedford, GBRobert has created a truly fantastic website for my brand. He has worked tirelessly, diligently and with a passion and enthusiasm that I'm so grateful for. He is a true talent, but more than that- he's fantastic with me (the customer), he listens, takes feedback and makes changes in a very timely fashion. I've got 3 more projects and they're all going to Robert!
