London, GBUnfortunately this was not a good experience at all. I've been accused of slamming his work, miscommunication (and received a long message or rather a rant because I typed chain instead of chin...of course I did that on purpose to annoy you right?) and being on the verge of insulting him.
The deadline was missed, he did message me about this and I agreed to wait and did so patiently. I feel he was rude and in my opinion unprofessional in regards to attitude. So you may have found me annoying (because I wasn't clear on what I wanted all the time, I stupidly thought we could work together on this...nothing wrong with asking questions and clarifying things!) but I was not rude to you, I never sent you long messages ranting and raving about this and that. I worked with three other freelancers from other websites in the past week or so and that was a breeze but not with you. I'd never work with you again, I'm sure you would say the same about me. Frankly I couldn't care less.
While he finally submitted an image which was acceptable I can't understand why it took so long towards the end. I literally said just copy the example I sent, that didn't happen. The final image is ok, the hair still isn't right but it's better. I'll have to work on things to get it right.
If I send you an example of a short hair cut with visible curls why did I get an illustration with hair down to the neck with two different colours of pink? Had I asked for medusa style hair or the look of raw meat you'd be onto a winner. The fact is this freelancer doesn't know how to speak to people and sits on a high horse, I would suggest you keep certain things to yourself next time you are dealing with a client. And I don't know anyone who would pay 10x what I paid for this. Of course your time is valuable but I don't feel it was necessary to say some of the things you did to me. Thank you for the work you did but just know that this was a bad experience. Good luck to you.Trevor H.
Therein lies the problem. I don't need to defend this review. I work hard, communicate clearly and strive tirelessly to deliver above and beyond what is expected of me. Every client is different and, unfortunately, this simply didn't work out.
