Following military service I joined the Police Force and worked in HQ Training Department teaching Law, Criminal Law and general police Duties. During my police career I also worked in the community and worked closely with schools, hospitals, businesses, village and town councils and diverse communities. When I left the police force I trained to become a counsellor and psychotherapist after which I became a teacher of Counselling & Communication Studies in Bournemouth. I then moved to Den Haag, The netherlands, where I became the principal of the largest Counselling school in Europe. I worked as an external consultant and Trainer for several large organisations throughout Europe and these include the European Patent Office (EPO) the Former Yugoslavian Tribunal (ICTY, Castle Craig (both Netherlands and UK), and the American Embassy in Den Haag. I also taught school children at the American School and the British School also in Wassanaar and Rotterdam. I have been working for the last year as Chief Executive of a private ambulance service, also responsible for all First Aid at Work Training in-house and externally. I work as an external consultant on occasion and when requested to do so but I have not been actively engaged for the last year due to time constraints in my current employ from which I have just been made redundant.
