Since graduating, I have worked in numerous Finance departments. Since July 2008 I have been employed by HSBC in their Head Office.

I specialise in automating tasks that most users would do manually, using a combination of VBA and complex formulae. I'm most comfortable in Excel but do also have some experience in Access. I have undertaken countless projects which used VBA to automate manual tasks, as well as data manipulation that would not have been possible by hand.

These projects have ranged from an automated journal upload process (into SAP), a suite of spreadsheets that enabled better managed of holidays/sickness for a team of 50 (including the use of a shared calendar in Outlook that displayed holidays that had been booked) and a delegated authority matrix that compared the login details of the user to a pre-defined list of authorised users to avoid anyone authorising spend above their limit.

I am also a regular contributor to the Mr Excel forum (to see my posts, go to the MrExcel message board - my username is njimack).
