IT services and infrastructure were shared with the council, with several applications corporately delivered and managed by Ealing Homes. Member of a team of 10 technical staff, rated as excellent by Government Auditors. Achieved a customer satisfaction rating of 89%, contrasting the councils’ 46% rating on IT.

     Management of the annual core database upgrade, working within the applied Councils’ Project Management and Change Management framework. Operating with stakeholders at all levels to agree design, scope and commissioning, management of UAT, management and chair of meetings, communication management to the user community, budgetary management, RAID reporting, release and go live management
     Lead technical advisor assessing products, activities and changes being implemented by Ealing Council. Applied in an advisory role performing impact assessment and analysis, risk management and strategic alignment
     Provision of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line technical support and advice for over 400 Ealing Homes users and 500 Housing staff users
     Delivered a range of large to small business projects. Core to Response was the migration of all services to be under the councils’ banner. Previously the council had acted more akin to 5 separate businesses working in the same office space, with each business providing its own strategy and services in HR, IT, Payroll, Applications and Facilities Management. Transitioned in to deliver 18 concurrent data and network projects, whilst acting in an advisory role for Housing and Social Services as products begun amalgamation under the corporate identity.

     Rationalised over 200 customer facing applications into a manageable corporate standard reducing support costs with vendors and removing redundant / non-line of business applications from operational use. Where applicable, Servers virtualised or consolidated / migrated into corporate solutions.
     Implemented NHS.net, ethical hacking / penetration testing, standardised and structured network cabling, PABX upgrades and VoIP, Installation of SAN servers and clustering facilities, building refurbishment and desktop refresh affecting over 2,500 workstations, THIN Client, VM Ware / Citrix, Corporate desktop design and deployment, new server room installation and server migrations, Facilities Management upgrades including monitoring and alert facilities for lifts, air conditioning, and heating, WAN and LAN upgrades, installation of Cisco network equipment as a corporate standard, diverse routing for all critical network systems, and printer management are examples of the range of projects successfully delivered through my project management.
     Managed the floor by floor refurbishment of main head office, working with building contractors, service staff, internal stakeholders and third parties delivering a modernised office space hosting over 2000 workstations completed 3 months ahead of schedule.

I have in recent years commenced re-education activities and am attending Open University courses in preference to vendor led exams, which I have successfully attained previously. I am presently studying to achieve my PRINCE 2 Practitioner qualification and I am confident of achieving this shortly crediting my experience of over 8 years working in a PRINCE 2 framework aligned environment.
