Hi,
I am a journalist and I need five interviews transcribed by the end of the weekend for a report I am working on (ideally by Saturday but Sunday at the very latest) .
I have transcribed many of the other interviews for the report myself but I am not the quickest typist and therefore need some help with the remaining six.
The total length of the five interviews is 2 hours 32 minutes.
I know that the average 30 minute interviews I have transcribed equate to approximately 3000 words per interview.
Using that as a guideline, I estimate the 2 hours 32 minutes for this job to equate to c. 15,000 words.
Assuming a WPM rate of 70, I further estimate it would take a skilled transcriber approximately 214 minutes (or 3.5 hours).
