Transcribe ~1700 short audio files in English. We have English and Twi audio (most English is recorded with the Ghanaian accent) and we need written English. These audio files are short; the average length is 15 seconds and people are generally speaking for a fraction of that, often only a single word. The English and Twi files are not segregated, so you must be able to understand both for this job.
We are on a very tight deadline and need the transcriptions completed by noon Friday, July 3rd. We will therefore accept multiple proposals. In your proposal, please inform how many files you can complete by the deadline and also include sample transcriptions of the three files attached to this job.
The audio recordings are people answering one of these eight questions:
1. Can you tell me one place where you can find information about news or current events?
2. Can you tell me one place where you can find job postings?
3. Can you tell me one place where you can find information about health during pregnancy?
4. Can you tell me one place where you can find information about your health?
5. Can you tell me one place where you can find news or current events on the Internet?
6. Can you tell me one place where you can find job postings on the Internet?
7. Can you tell me one place where you can find pregnancy health information on the Internet?
8. Can you tell me one place where you can find information about your health on the Internet?
Three example files are attached below to give you an idea of the length and content in the responses.
We are expecting around 1700 audio files (although the exact final number might vary) per transcriber, and will pay $0.30/file transcribed and $0.10/empty file identified (one without content in the form of an answer). We need the transcription completed by noon on Friday, July 3rd and thus would like to confirm contracts ASAP.
(The number in the budget field is 1700 files * $0.22/file as we expect some files to be empty)
