Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
i have 112 minutes of iPhone-recorded interview for radio / magazine. it is me speaking for 112 minutes, in English with a London/Surrey voice/accent. So it should be clear to someone who can fully understand that voice/accent and its nuances.
The two recordings of 90m and 22m have been transferred to iTunes, where they are now MPEG-4 audio file format that i can email in zip format.
i would like these transcribed into English language in Microsoft Word within the next 48 hours please (i.e.) by midnight Tuesday night GMT.
i stress that the transcriptions need to be perfect, i won't have time to go through correcting them. thus you need to be able to understand my voice and capture accurately all the English words as they come through.
it will also require you to enter into the transcription words like 'errr' and 'um' and 'yes, yes, err' as i will then be able to mark these on a print out for the tape engineer to delete.
thus 'perfection' here means (i) capturing and including everything that is said accurately (ii) not omitting something because it will read better without it - it must read as it sounds.
Of course, if there is just a word or two here or there that you can't understand, highlight it as a yellow gap, and i can ensure it's in there.
i will check the work before paying, and i won't pay for work that makes me do the work afterwards, i would simply recommission the job.
i hope those are clear and fair terms of engagement, please send me any questions or comments, and i will respond. the audio files are very audible and my voice clear. the deadline, once again, is Tuesday midnight UK time (that's 4PM PST here in California).
this will then be going to press, so there is no tolerance for deadline slippage or correcting the transcript myself (except for the very occasional yellow highlight). please state what you can do (i.e.) state what you understand from what i have said the actual task is, and quote your charge for the job.
thank you for your consideration. With best wishes, Paul.
