Outline & Structure: Write a proposal/outline for the following:

A multinational games hiring company has decided to install a new Distributed Computer System.

The company has approached us to design and demonstrate a prototype. The company has around 10 hire locations in three countries (two in France, two in Italy and the rest in the UK). Each location has around 500 games although games may be borrowed from other stores on demand.

At present they only have 6 categories of games (Action, Adventure, Puzzle, Educational, Strategic and Role Playing) with a different pricing for each game. Rental can be reserved in advanced or a customer may come and rent an available game from the shop. Rental can be for a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of one week.

Customers are always asked to register with the renting office. At that point they are required to supply credit card and driving licence details. These are kept on record. The company is multinational, at present France and Italy trade in Euros and the UK trades in Sterling.

You are required to plan and implement functionality for the company’s distributed system. Please see attachment for further details.
