Description
Experience Level: Entry
To everyone who is reading this, I hope this message finds you very well and healthy.
I recently finished a policy recommendation paper for my masters final project. I believe it has potential to become one (or even two) published papers. In order to publish it, I believe it needs to be adjusted to the format of a paper.
You may find an executive summary of the final project and its first pages in the following Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ewrazxis41zjb43/A%20framework%20for%20the%20design%20of%20evidence-based%20Public%20Policies%20for%20Special%20Tax%20Regimes%20in%20the%20Dominican%20Republic-pages-2%2C10-11.pdf?dl=0
While I did a literature review, mine was a cursory one. I would now like to go into more detail, and hence I have arrived at this page.
The goals of this project would be the following:
The idea is that the person places the keywords in the suggested databases and reports (eg 700 results emerged of which after reviewing the abstract only 70 discussed the topic of interest).
Keywords: “Evaluation of special tax regimes” “framework” “Evaluation process” “statistical analysis” “special regimes” “industry incentives” “quantitative analysis” “technical correctness” “administrative feasibility” “political supportability”
Databases: ScienceDirect, Scopus, Google Scholar, American Economic Review, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Development Economics, Public Management Review, Public Administration Review, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory
Literature review objectives:
1. Existing quantitative/statistical frameworks to evaluate the performance of special tax regimes.
2. Importance and practical applications of “technical correctness” to evaluate public policies.
3. Importance and practical applications of “administrative feasibility” to evaluate public policies.
4. Importance and practical applications of “political supportability” to evaluate public policies.
Note: Provide a list of screened (final selection) papers relevant to each of the objectives.
