Ghana - Future of Finance and Banking

We are seeking an experienced researcher or research team to undertake a comprehensive, forward-looking study on the future of finance and banking in Ghana over the next 5–10 years. The research should explore how digital transformation, fintech, mobile money, artificial intelligence, open banking, financial inclusion, changing consumer behaviour, cybersecurity, regulation, and emerging financial products are likely to reshape Ghana’s financial ecosystem. Key research questions should include: What will banking look like in Ghana in 2030–2035? Which technologies and business models are likely to have the greatest impact? How will traditional banks, fintechs, mobile-money providers, and other financial institutions evolve and compete? What opportunities exist for new entrants and investors? What regulatory, economic, technological, and social risks could affect the sector? The research should combine desk research, industry data, expert interviews and/or stakeholder consultations, where appropriate, and provide evidence-based forecasts, key trends, market opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations. Expected deliverables include a detailed research report, executive summary, supporting data/sources, key findings and recommendations, and a presentation of the findings. The ideal researcher should have demonstrated experience in financial services, banking, fintech, economics, business strategy, or market research, strong knowledge of the Ghanaian financial sector, excellent analytical and report-writing skills, and experience conducting primary and secondary research. Applicants should provide examples of relevant previous work, their proposed methodology, estimated timeline, and fee.
