Experience Level: Entry
I’m looking for a native-level Indonesian professional who can do two things in parallel: guide a small group of absolute beginners toward academic fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and translate our English learning materials into polished, formal Indonesian.
The students are starting from scratch but need to reach a point where they can read journal articles, write research summaries, and participate in seminars conducted in Indonesian. Because we’re not tied to a rigid deadline, you can suggest the most effective pace—weekly or bi-weekly sessions are fine as long as progress is clear and measurable.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Structured online lessons built around academic vocabulary, formal grammar, and writing conventions, delivered via your preferred platform (Zoom, Google Meet, or similar).
• Homework, quizzes, and short writing assignments that reinforce each lesson.
• Periodic progress reports so I can track how well the group is moving toward BIPA level-2 (or an equivalent academic benchmark).
• Accurate English-to-Indonesian translations of all course handouts, slides, and future documents, complete with a mini-glossary for technical terms.
Acceptance criteria
• By the end of the program the students should be able to pass a BIPA level-2 test or demonstrate comparable competence.
• Random QA checks on your translations must show at least 95 % accuracy against the source content in meaning, tone, and academic style (KBBI, EYD).
If you hold a BIPA teaching certificate, a linguistics degree, or have published academic translations, please highlight that experience and share a short sample lesson plan or translation excerpt. I welcome your ideas on lesson frequency, preferred teaching tools, and any additional resources you’d bring to the table.
