Proofreading Homillies

A book project has complied a priest's homilies (sermons) over a lifetime and they are now going to be compiled into a book to celebrate his life's work.

The original text was typed (as in a typewriter and word processor) and so the pages have been scanned and put through an optical reader. The Microsoft "Word outputs are rough and need smoothing over. The optical scans have brought in watermarks, odd reads and all sorts.

The file is approximately 142,000 words (although it probably is less when one removes all the irregular spacing).

An understanding of Christian Bible Referencing style inclusive of Roman Numerals, e.g. (Mk 3, III), would be helpful, but not required.
