Looking for experienced editor for non-fiction book + other writing projects

We want to establish a positive long-term working relationship with an experienced and efficient editing professional.

We're looking for an editor (structural, stylistic/paragraph level, sentence level edit + proofreading) to help us with our ongoing work on e-book scripts, full length book scripts, audio scripts etc. Our work is all non-fiction in the fields of complementary health/personal-development.

We have a number of writing projects planned, one of which is a full length book of c. 80,000 words (this is at an early book structure/conceptual stage at present).

We'd like you to tell us:
- the editing stages you have experience with
- how would you approach working with us on a non-fiction book project such as this
- the anticipated costs involved for different editorial stages of this book
- what you would expect from us and what you would deliver at each stage.

Please also tell us about your prior editing experience giving examples - references/testimonials would also be appreciated if you have them.

From your initial proposal we hope to select a shortlist of editors to do a sample/trial edit and proofread on a small piece of our writing so we can get a feel for your work and approach. The sample would be less than 5,000 words (from a separate project to the aforementioned book). We'd be happy to pay for this test edit at a mutually agreeable price.

Good communication skills via telephone/email/Skype will also be important as we work together on any project.
