Need three 600-900 word articles written about economics

Extra notes: I need 3 separate articles written in casual voice as though you were talking about these topics at a cocktail party. Generalities and a few specifics to prove you know what you are talking about. The 3 topics are:
1) The general history of the economy in the U.S. from 1776 to 2000
2) Economic events and trends of the last 15 years 2000-2015
3) A short summary of stock market trends, corrections, recessions, changes in US History

Imagine you are writing this for someone who knows little or nothing about economic matters. Minimize the jargon and keep it light and easy to understand. As you are writing, imagine that you are trying to give someone "Cliff Notes" about the economy - a primer that would help them to hold their own in a cocktail party conversation. If you need to include a few graphs to illustrate your points, go ahead but mostly I am looking for text in nearly a summary fashion.
