Writers for American reminiscence newspaper

We are looking for American writers, preferably in their 60s, 70s or beyond, to write short columns featuring reminiscence material pertinent to those who lived in America in the 1940s to 1960s.

We have been producing an electronically distributed reminiscence newspaper in the UK for nearly 4 years and we are now looking to launch an American version. Here are some details:

The articles will be just 80-90 words long (see attached UK examples)

Each article will need to be accompanied by Carers' Notes (see attached UK examples

Articles are aimed at triggering memories

Subject matter will be 1) Ways of life back then, 2) products and ads 3) occupations 4) sports 5) celebs 6) music and songs 7) regional 8) miscellaneous

Initially we are looking for the writers to produce 100 x 2 columns in the 1st month. Thereafter this will reduce to 40 x 2 columns until we have built up an advanced stock of 6-8 months of material at which point we will just need the writer to keep pace, producing 30 x 2 columns a month.

We will provide training in writing the articles (to achieve maximum effect)

Writers may be based in America or be ex-pats

As all our team work with Apple Macs this would be an advantage.

Writers must be 100% reliable and committed long term
