WANTED: Editor for Short Horror Stories

Hello,

I am seeking an editor who is familiar with the horror genre and specializes in developmental editing and proofreading.

I am working on a collection of short horror stories and mainly seeking to improve my craft and receive constructive feedback. Preferably, I would like this to be an ongoing arrangement and to work with you regularly as I continue writing.

Candidate requirements:
- Comfortable with (non-gratuitous) gore and violence.
- I do *not* write erotica. However, you must be comfortable with mature themes and sexuality.
- Intermediate to Strong level of understanding of the horror genre, story elements (e.g. plot, setting, character development, etc.).
- Understanding of world cultures and social issues (literature contains a range of diverse characters, including people of colour, LGBTQIA+ persons, and persons with disabilities).
- Able to provide clear and detailed constructive critique.

Other Details:
- Payment is $0.01USD per word to start.
- A sample short story (1200 words) is attached so you may have an idea of what my work is like.

- Mature PhD student living in Canada
- Hobbies: Travel (pre-pandemic; visited 11 countries), listening to music, reading, cooking, film, creative writing, languages (fluent in French & English, some German).
