Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I need someone to write a 4000 word guide on Lincolnshire which will appear in a travel book.
The guide needs a general introduction which describes what Lincolnshire has to offer and why it is worth visiting.
It should then go on to include a list of interesting sights, landmarks or events for the region. It is for a quality guide so think about places that are in some way quite remarkable and which will appeal to the discerning traveller. Offer a brief review of the event or sight and any interesting background information (e.g. history or natural history). All submissions should try and cover practical points where appropriate, e.g. Parking, disabled access, suitability for children, dogs etc.
Please also include unique places to eat that are in some way markedly different from the run of the norm restaurant or of exceptional quality. Base any reviews on your experience and include remarks about the atmosphere and any features that make it special. Best times of year to visit, i.e. in the summer it’s great to sit outside and watch the sunset, and whether food is seasonal. It is also be worth mentioning whether the venue has won any awards.
You will need to list the following for each eating venue: Approximate Costs (i.e. Starters from £5, Mains from £12, Desserts from £3), Address, Tel, e-mail and website, when food is served (i.e. Mon-Fri 11.30-2pm and 6.30-9pm, closed Sunday), Other items such as formal/informal, child friendly, dog friendly, disabled access, local produce, whether booking in advance is recommended etc.
The guide also needs to include unique places to stay - Choose only quality or highly individual places to stay. you will start with a description of the venue which includes information on the setting and any unique selling points.
For each place you will need to list address, tel, e-mail, website and approx rates. Include other information such as formal/informal, child friendly, dog friendly, disabled access, parking, local produce, swimming pool, Spa, Cinema, Gym, Crèche, WiFi etc.
Full writers pack will be provided to the successful bidder.
