Copy writer general

I run a marketing agency called SC Marcomms and am also a member of a business-networking group that is currently looking for a good copy writer. We are based in Kensington and Chelsea and are part of the BNI, which is a well-known international networking organisation. The group itself is made up of a number of professionals representing some of the borough's best companies, from solicitors to management consultants. The way it works is that there is only one place in each group per profession, so any copy writing within the group, or through their contacts, would go directly to you. Because it is really well structured the results are excellent. In effect you end up with an extra 20-30 part time sales people. On average, according to the BNI, each member gets an estimated £26,000 of new business from it annually. I know I get substantially more than that figure and it is now one of my main sources of new business. There is a decent amount of copy writing work to be gained directly from the group, including from myself, as well as introductions to lots of new potential clients through the group's extensive contacts. Copy writing has always had a very successful relationship with the BNI and spaces do not come up very often, especially as you can only have one per group. We are one of the most successful BNI groups in the UK as well as being one of the friendliest.
