Copy Writer For Welsh Language Site

A new welsh language site requires copy to be written. A writer/researcher or journalist able to create high quality content is required. This will be written in Welsh and English. Although English only bids will be considered they will be at a disadvantage because they will have to be translated into Welsh which has an associated cost.

The task involves writing copy for a Welsh language website which will promote a new Welsh language publication. The site style is modern and exciting but requires the ability to write catchy marketing style web material and more detailed professional material.

-The site has 5/6 main pages requiring this mix of material estimated to be 1000 words in total.

-Initially a monthly researched article is required of approximately 1000 words on various Welsh oriented topics for 6 months. These articles should be referenced and researched, being factual as well as entertaining. e.g. These are not academic research texts but need to be an interesting read for those involved with teaching/learning Welsh.

Initial topics:
-The current state of printed Welsh Language Publishing.
-Welsh language translation, its history and future.
-Welsh regional dialects, their differences.
-The effects of government Welsh language policy.
-The teaching of Welsh and methods used in schools.
-Welsh on the web, the history of Welsh language websites.

A total of 7000 words of copy (1000 website, 6000 articles).

The site needs to be delivered by mid November the articles monthly at the end of November, December, January, February, March and April.

If proven there may be an on going requirement for these publications. Previously published journalists will be at an advantage as will those able to demonstrate academic qualifications especially in the Welsh language.

Attention to detail, grammar and spelling are essential.

Bids are welcome for the website/articles just the website just the articles. Fixed price preferred over hourly rate.
