Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I lead a small charity and we are in the process of creating a new website for one of our programmes. The programme is called Money Makes Change and aims to connect faith and finance for a fairer world. You can see more about the programme here: https://www.eccr.org.uk/learning-materials/
We want to build a dedicated programme website which will be designed to be a one-stop shop for people to go who are interested in connecting their faith with their finances and want to take positive action through how they use their money to bring about social and environmental change. We believe it's not just through the money that we give away, but also how we spend, save and invest our money and also who we bank with, that has the power to bring about tremendous change, especially when we act collectively!
The website is therefore divided into an "Education" section and an "Action" section. The Education section will look at spending, saving & pensions and investing and how we might act differently in each of those areas to promote positive change. It will also look at the underlying banking system and how we can make different choices regarding our banking to bring about positive change.
We have an old website (https://www.yourfaithyourfinance.org) which has some good content but has not been updated since 2013 and needs to be retired.
As a first step, for each of these educational areas, I want to include as much of the content on the Your Faith, Your Finance website that is still relevant in creating the content for the new website. And then I would like to expand the topic based on any new information that may be relevant that has been developed over the last 7 years (since the website was launched). We have also developed a workshop resource which explores these areas - I'd be happy to send this separately as it is too large to attach here.
For each topic (Spending, Savings & Pensions, Investments and Banking), it will have its own web page. I am looking for 200 - 300 web copy for each page that summarises the information on each topic and that encourages people to click on the more detailed information if they'd like to explore more. For each topic, I would also like a more detailed article with ideas and practical information for people to take action. This could include pointing people to other sources of information and other projects. These articles may also form the basis of infographics etc. Each page will also include a video of the topic - I have created two of these so far to give you an idea of the type of the content and tone of what we are trying to create.

Banking video: https://youtu.be/1abUeujbvN0
Thanks so much and I'd be grateful for your thoughts or any questions you might have.
All the best,
Janie
