Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: around 5000
Information for the blog/website: Lifestyle guide for potential / current residents of the London Dockland Area
Industry: Lifestyle/Travel
Topic: history, food & drink, culture & business,
Tone: Informal/Casual
Outline & Structure: The London Docklands area covers the Canary Wharf, Millharbour, South Quay and Crossharbour areas.
We need someone to research and write a one-page area guide for current and prospective residents of the London Docklands area which should consist of approximately 5,000 words (although this is flexible). The guide should inform, entertain, and be different from others already available on the web; we don't want to copy or repeat information which is already out there. The guide should be in-depth, unique and insightful which is bespoke and makes readers think: “I never knew that about the London Docklands”! It should include interesting facts which you might source from books, the web, your own personal knowledge, local people and influencers.
Once the research is completed, it will need to put into fluent, readable and informal prose. We are looking for a high caliber of writer who is preferably London based.
The topics you will need to research and write about will include:
- the area's history
- food & drink
- culture & business
(Further breakdown of these topics will be given should your pitch be successful)
Extensive research will be needed include:
- Finding information out about the various aforementioned topics from a variety of sources at your disposable
- Souring free to use images or seeking permission to use
I need someone who had a very high standard of English, is familiar with London, can work independently and is excellent at finding unique and exciting information.
One area guide has already been completed which I will share with you on application. Please feel free to ask more questions about this exciting and meaty project. have an idea of how much we'd like to spend but quality is paramount and based on how many hours you anticipate this might take.
Extensive research needed: yes
