Write 6 x 450 word articles about what we can learn from J.R.R. Tolkien
Primarily, I am looking for someone who has studied the fantasy works and life of J.R.R. Tolkien. If not, someone who has studied C.S. Lewis or other modern-day fantasy writers. I want to know what philosophy or writing methodology led these writers to success. Then give examples from their work.
For instance, one article could be called, The Oxford Professor of Anglo-Saxon Literature detailing the value of a higher education for a writer.
Another article could be called, A Plain, Quiet Hobbit. This could illustrate how writers should write about what they know. “I am in fact a Hobbit in all but size. I like gardens, trees, and unmechanized farmlands; I smoke a pipe, and like good plain food (unrefrigerated), but detest French cooking; I like, and even dare to wear in these dull days, ornamental waistcoats. I am fond of mushrooms (out of a field); have a very simple sense of humor (which even my appreciative critics find tiresome); I go to bed late and get up late (when possible). I do not travel much.” Quote by J.R.R. Tolkien. This could also go into other aspects of his life like being in the front line of war and how this affected his writing.
Another article could be called, Talking to Trees. Apparently J.R.R. Tolkien used to like to do this when he was younger. This article could illustrate the value of childhood imagination and how it enabled Tolkien to world build with such authenticity.
Another article could be Why the Lord of the Rings captured our Hearts.

What made Frodo a good hero?
What made Gandalf the best mentor?
