Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Num. of words: 250-300
Industry: Legal
Topic: Legal agreement
Tone: Formal/Professional
Outline & Structure: I run a music production company, writing music for TV. I have a number of existing relationships in place with various clients to hire me to write music for them. At times, when the work is in excess, I will sub-contract other songwriters to write music for the client, splitting the pay for the job 50/50.
I need a simple, easy-to-understand agreement for my sub-contracted writers to sign before each job I give them that essentially states that I am bringing them into a relationship with an existing client of mine. And to avoid them going over my heard and working for my client directly in the future without my involvement the agreement needs to state that the sub-contracted writer will not pursue a relationship with the client outside of my direct involvement. In other words, once I introduce a sub-contracted writer to a client of mine, the sub-contracted writer only works for that client through me.
I do not want this to be a long agreement - one page if possible - something formal but easily readable and not intimidating to the sub-contracted writers.
Extensive research needed: no
