Description
Experience Level: Entry
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: 500
Blog/website url: magazine.thedatemarket.com
Information for the blog/website: We review date locations in 10 UK cities.
Industry: Entertainment
Topic: Reviewing a range of date venues in the UK
Tone: Witty/Sharp
Outline & Structure: Introduction:
The primary goal of the TheDateMarket.com is to provide a unique, exciting and alternative service for our users that breaks many of the rules, processes and clichés set by existing dating websites.
Our blog and content is a significant component of the website, therefore, we must also ensure that it reflects our business goal. In particular, we do not want our blog to be solely in place for SEO purposes. The blog must contain informative, unique and high quality content that attracts repeat users on a regular basis.
Types of article required:
One of the key topics of the blog is “dating ideas”. Within this section we provide useful reviews of dating locations, written from the perspective of somebody actually going on a date. Although you don't have to have been on a real date there, we request that you only write about locations that you have actually been to since our reviews must be accurate and genuine.
We are not just looking to review standard dating venues, but we would like to cover all types of date whether they be traditional, active or modern ideas.
Example date locations to review: Restaurants, bars, theatre shows, concerts, sports events, markets, public spaces (e.g. parks), museums, galleries, films/cinemas, festivals, conferences, fitness classes, comedy nights, nightclubs, theme parks. Basically anywhere you have visited that you would like to recommend (or not recommend).
Style:
Important! All articles should be written in the past tense, and in a descriptive narrative that makes it sound as if you have been on a 1-to-1 date with somebody at the venue/location.
You should provide a professional, accurate, witty and useful description of the date that you went on that would be of interest to readers aged 21-50 years of age. Clearly some reviews by their nature, e.g. nightclubs, would not necessarily need to be written to engage with readers at the upper end of this age range.
For examples of the type of style to be used, please see the following:

Length:
400-600 words. See attachment for the format and headings.
Photo:
Each article requires at least 1 photograph to be taken or sourced that depicts the location of the date. The photograph should not allow identification of anyone that went on the date.
The photograph must be copyright free and ideally be taken with a good quality, high-resolution camera (2Mp minimum). Also, feel free to submit more than 1 photograph.
Extensive research needed: no
