Science journalists needed to write interview-based features

Looking for writers/journalists who understands material in academic science journals, can interview researchers, and write a piece about the their journey to a new discovery, complete with mistakes, wrong turns, and personal and professional hardships. The article will be based on recent research published in a trusted, peer-reviewed journal.

For various reasons, we do not yet cover corporate research or highlight awards people have won. It is all about the researchers and their work.

The idea is to make the information accessible and personal to a lay audience - along with some help from suitable non-copyrighted images. The pieces could be 500 words or longer.
