Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Website: http://sailorscout1986.ipage.com/ (temp domain)
Num. of articles: ongoing
Words per article: 800/100 or 400/500
Information for the blog/website: Nigerian cultural website - investigative features, reviews, lists, profiles etc
Industry: Publishing/Journalism
Topic: Nigerian cultural website - investigative features, reviews, lists, profiles etc
Tone: Witty/Sharp
Outline & Structure: I'm looking for budding or working journalists to write content for a Nigerian culture website.
I'm a sub-editor and I'll edit any work before it goes up on the site. I'm not looking for perfection but I need people who can at least write coherently.
The focus is investigations on what's going on in the country: Crime, local business issues, cultural happenings in fashion, food places, art, weird personal stories and anything of public interest.
I'm looking for feature/investigative writers on any topic as long as it has a human angle. As well people who can review music/arts/fashion/restaurants/books etc..
This could be an ongoing project and source of income for the right candidates and we could talk about what areas interest you most as a writer and get you working in that field.
You will receive your own byline on each piece you write as well as your fee which is a flat rate of £5 per 800/1000 word article or £2,50 per 400/500 words - with a possibility to increase as the website grows.
Interested? Apply with any question or thoughts now!
Please remember I'm not hiring opinion/column writers at the moment
