Description
Experience Level: Expert
I would like articles done for plant/ gardening related topics such as (suggested titles, but feel free to propose any related topics close to your heart)
* Balinese Gardens - in-depth look about the artistry, style and philosophy
* Bonsai - the art of bonsai
* All about Caladiums
* The humble fiddle leaf fig
* Houseplants in the wild (Where did my houseplant come from?)
* Plants for cat lovers
* Musings on ferns
* Anti-fertiliser options for the apartment gardener
* Ecology - a quest to use less plastic bags and informative read on #iamnotaplasticbag
* William Wallace - botanical study
Vibes or style of writing : curious, whimsical, meditative (not too ‘dry’) droll humour welcome, helpful and cheerful tone, but still factual. Think of the audience as first time gardeners, plant loving millennials who are searching online for tips on plant care, what first plants they should get to start their urban jungle, and they get immersed in a good read on the journal section of the site.
Each article should be a good length to read online for at least 5 minutes’ reading time, longer articles are welcomed as well (We can discuss rates for long form articles if you prefer long form writing).
The Budget should cover 3-5 short articles or 1-2 long form article. Quality is preferred over quantity, please attach samples of work done in similar tone.

Hi Rachel, could you give an idea of how many words you'd generally be expecting for each short article, and for the long-form? Thanks.
Rachel L.23 Jul 2019HI Paula, it is more about the reading time so a longer format article would take about 5- 15 minutes reading time and the shorter one would be less than that. I am not picky about word count or length. If the article needs to be longer to cover the details, then I’m really happy about it being long.
