In addition to this, workplace cycle to work schemes have made it easier for people to own more expensive bikes, meaning cycling is becoming not just a way of getting to work and getting around, but instead a hobby and major pastime to many people.
With many of these people taking cycling incredibly seriously, it raises the question “are you cycling enough to need insurance?” and the article I require should answer this.
Whilst insuring our cars, motorbikes, vans etc. is the law and because of this not even thought twice about by most people, you don’t need insurance to ride a bike. Despite this, cycle insurance does exist and it something that is considered by many cyclists. Exploring the topic of cycle insurance, this article will identify both why a cyclist may need insurance (i.e. bike theft, liability for damage to another person’s property etc.) and what it will safeguard them against. The article should also explore the rise of cycling in the UK and identify the reasons behind its growing popularity.
