Description
Experience Level: Expert
Num. of words: 12534
Industry: Education
Topic: Corporal child punishment in Greece and Turkey
Tone: Formal/Professional
Outline & Structure: My thesis is almost done. I need an improvement of the structure, language, the results and the discussion part.
Extra notes: I would like to work on my supervisor's comments which are:
· The section in which you describe the research questions needs to be improved: it is still a bit vague.
· In the results section you pay little attention towards the direction of the association between risk factors and CPP. You mention that there is a significant relationship, but you do not describe in what way.
· When you compare prevalences of CPP between T and G, you don’t pay attention towards possible differences between studies in timeframes, questions etc. You simply suggest that they are similar without showing that this is the case.
· The 2 columns of ‘results’ need to be checked and improved. For instance: you describe (see Agathonos-Georgopoulou, & Browne study) ‘Predictive accuracy of 9 risk characteristics: sensitivity= 92.1% specificity= 96.3% overall predictive accuracy= 94.5%. Which factors are significant in the (multivariate?) analyses are not described here (no OR are mentioned) so we don’t know the outcomes.
· Mention in the table of the studies is longitudinal (describe time frame) of cross-sectional.
· The discussion section contains several remarkable and strange sentences/sections such as ‘In developing countries, such as Turkey’. On what grounds do you defend this conclusion? Please be very careful in what you describe, conclude and suggest.
Finally, I would like to have a professional grammatical and vocabulary correction of errors.
