Description
Experience Level: Entry
Hello!
I am looking for a writer to work with on a series of projects. The writer will be writing an introduction to a book, plus a statement of historical context that analyzes the piece and tells why it's relevant today, and what lessons we have to learn from it. Additionally, the writer will be writing a brief biography of the author. The word counts are as follows:
Introduction - 1,500 to 2,000 words
Historical Context - 1,000 words
Author Biography - 1,000 words
These are not set numbers. I'm more just wanting to make sure the stories are told correctly about the books. As a reference, two of the books are The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. You don't have to actually read the books. Keep in mind, the books in our list are very, very popular. There are already plenty of professionally written pieces about each book. No need to recreate the wheel.
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have!
PLEASE only people with proficient American English writing skills. These will be read by middle and high school students, primarily, so they don't have to be overly complicated.
When submitting your proposal, please submit as if you're doing one single book project. There are 20 books in this entire project, but we'll be spacing them out over the course of the next 2-3 months. We're looking for someone long term, but ultimately someone that we can work with on a project by project basis for budgetary reasons (we're a new company and we need to space expenses out, especially during these difficult times).
Please feel free to ask any questions!! Looking forward to your proposals!
