Description
Experience Level: Entry
I need someone with a knowledge in Microsoft Word to do these changes in three hours to my thesis in accordance with the university guideline. This is not a proofreading or editing its a formatting issue and to add some small changes, it’s all listed down and shouldn’t be hard for someone familiar with MS Word.
Title Page
· Please unbold your title as this should not be bolded.
· Please delete the spacing in between line “Presented to” and line “the Faculty of”. Please refer to page 11 of the formatting guidelines.
· Please edit your nomenclature to read “the Faculty of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences” exactly. Leave the first “the” in lowercase letters.
Abstract
· Please indent the first line in your paragraph. As this is a new paragraph, it requires an indentation.
· It appears that your page number is sitting below the 1-inch bottom margin. Per the formatting guidelines, page numbers must be sitting above the 1-inch bottom margin. Please make this change for all of the page numbers in your document.
Acknowledgments
Please delete the extra spacing in between your heading and the text. Please refer to your Abstract page and the spacing in-between the heading and text. Please edit and make this change to be consistent with your Abstract page.
Table of Contents
· Please edit your heading to read “Table of Contents”.
· Per the formatting guidelines, font and text must be consistent throughout your entire document, specifically within your front matter. As such, please edit your heading and page numbers to reflect your embedded text. Also, please change your heading’s font type and size to be exactly as your other headings (please refer to your Abstract and Acknowledgments page).
· Please single-space the entries of your sub-headings and double-space between chapter headings. Refer to pages 18 and 19 of the formatting guidelines.
Margins
It appears that your text is intruding into the right-hand margin. Per the formatting guidelines, there must be a 1-inch minimum for the right-hand margin. Please edit your entire document to fit within the minimum requirements.
Indentations
The first line of every new paragraph must be indented. Please indent the first line of the three paragraphs on page 57 and 58 of your conclusion.
Font and Text
Please edit all of your text in your document to be the same font type. This includes your headings and body text.
Spacing
· On page 27, there is a large space in-between the end of the first paragraph and subheading 2.3.3. As your other subheadings do not have this large amount of space in-between their subheading and the text, please delete this space. Please refer to subheading 2.3.2 on page 25 for reference.
· On page 52, there is a large space in-between each new paragraph. As your other pages to not have this large amount of space in-between their paragraphs, please delete this space and review the paragraphs so the spacing is consistent with the rest of the document.
List of Figures
It appears that your document contains multiple figures. Per the formatting guidelines,
“Photos and illustrations should be digitally inserted into your text. Color may be used and will be maintained when viewing the dissertation/thesis electronically, but will be printed in black and white if a bound copy is ordered through UMI/ProQuest.
The images used in your dissertation/thesis must be included in a “List of Figures,” which follows your Table of Contents, if your dissertation/thesis includes five or more figures.”
· Please include a List of Figures page within your front matter and also title each Figure within your document.
List of Tables
It appears that your document contains multiple tables. Per the formatting guidelines, documents with five tables or more must include a List of Tables page. Please include a List of Tables page; refer to page 18 on the formatting guidelines.
Indentations:
· On page 57, please indent the first line of “In the long run”.
o Please indent the first line of “I also believe”.
o Please indent the first line of “The new”.
§ As these are three new paragraphs, they must be indented.
· On page 58, please indent the first line of your last paragraph “In conclusion,”.
