Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: 900
Information for the blog/website: We publish a magazine aimed at disabled people
Industry: Publishing/Journalism
Topic: Telecare for disabled and elderly people
Tone: Informal/Casual
Outline & Structure: We publish a magazine aimed at disabled people and their family members and carers living in the UK. Our upcoming issue is our Family Themed issue.
I am looking for a feature on Telecare. Synopsis below:
Far from being ‘care on the cheap’, telecare enables families to monitor vulnerable family members that live elsewhere. Telecare can be scaled to requirements and provide information on everything from where people are to their vital signs, making its applications useful to any number of disabled people.
Writer’s note: Discuss the notion that telecare might be part of the answer for our struggling NHS as well as how it can be utilised to monitor disabled people who might otherwise lose their independence – and possibly have to move out of their homes. Describe the various types and applications.
