Description
Experience Level: Entry
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: 1000
Blog/website url: www.inspiredescapes.com
Information for the blog/website: Travel Organiser
Industry: Lifestyle/Travel
Topic: Responsible Travel
Tone: Sincere
Outline & Structure: I am looking for a regular writer for a travel company's blog. The writing ability has to be impeccable, and an understanding of travel writing would be a bonus.
The first piece we need should be something along these lines: https://medium.com/@giladgoren/the-millennial-travelers-manifesto-cdadc7a3efd0
We want something that positions the company in the mind of our readers, and the tone of this piece is about right. It needs to be written for a UK audience, so the focus will be slightly different and should be amended with this in mind. Likewise, obviously we are not looking for a copy of this, and we will provide a complete brief, along with brand voice documents to help you really get to know the brand and audience better.
It should be written in the first person, as the voice of someone from within the company. We can discuss how this will work after I have chosen someone for the job. It should be inspiring, motivational and really capture the imagination of our audience, especially in the all-important post-Christmas period, when many are booking their next trip, but also when many are thinking about making a better, wiser start to the year.
If you are interested in the job, please send an example of your writing (the more relevant, the better!) and a explanation of why you think you will be right for the job. Generic proposals will be immediately rejected. Native English speakers only please.
If this job goes well, there is plenty more opportunity to get more work from me. I manage a digital agency so we have lots of clients crying out for excellent writers! We pay £15 per regular blog post, but as we expect this post to be a bit longer we are offering £20 on this occasion.
