Create Grade 4 Back-to-School Reading Task Cards (CCSS-Aligned)

We are seeking an experienced educational content writer to create a set of 8 engaging fictional reading passages (130–140 words each), each featuring a fun animal character and centered around back-to-school themes (rules, friendships, decision-making, etc.). Each passage must include 3 leveled multiple-choice questions:

1 Average (main idea or simple inference)

1 Hard (tone, implied meaning, or deeper inference)

1 Challenging (involving judgment, problem-solving, or a “Think Like a Teacher” perspective)

The questions must be clearly written, grade-appropriate (Lexile 400–500), and follow CCSS Reading standards for Grade 4. Candidates must have prior experience creating Common Core–aligned materials for lower elementary (grades 3–5), with strong attention to voice, readability, and classroom usability.

Priority will be given to freelancers who can demonstrate understanding of CCSS benchmarks and differentiation by difficulty.
