Business research please

I am looking for someone to do some business research. i have the following information: According to the Telegraph (18 August 2015) more than half of new businesses don’t survive beyond 5 years. Even worse, according to Bloomberg, 8 out of 10 entrepreneurs who start businesses fail within the first 18 months. What are the current 2019 or 2018 figures, please state what they are and send a reliable UK Source link. In addition this comment is outdated: Serial businessman, retail magnate and ex-Dragon Theo Paphitis says, “50% of all small businesses fail in the first couple of years. It’s a damning statistic but it’s true.” He goes on to explain the reasons, “They haven’t done their research, they don’t know where to go for the right funding. The reason people fail is because they don’t do their homework. It’s about… performing better, and the only way you can do that is through knowledge.” Source: The Guardian (8 July 2014) Has any businessman or woman well know to the public made any comments simular to the above, in the last 1 to 2 years, which has the same outline message - ie small businesses need to do research, get the right funding, businesses need to do homework, need business education from an accountant. So to clarify i need some up to date statistics and a good comment regarding business start ups and why they fail from a trusted business person. Any questions, please let me know.
