I catch myself on the rare occasion when I type too quickly for bids.

I make a living from writing but I also know when the smaller amount jobs are worth it. When you take the smaller ones, it usually pays high after the trial period and you prove consistent with quality and turnarounds. Every great writter knows that. As Stephen King said, 'Every writer starts somewhere, but it's the greedy ones who go nowhere. Appreciate all the small places and you will be the greatest there is.'

You have a point.
It's perfect for people who don't make their living from writing and use it for pocket money. But when you advertise on here it's an open forum - I was invited to apply and this is my response. If you enjoy what you do, great. Don't spend it all at once though! :)

Leave him alone please, he's great to work with and it's not slave labor when there's really no research. All you so is read and write as you go. If there was extensive research of several hours, he wouldn't have posted it. Don't be rude about something you don't fully understand. I am currently writing for him and it is simple and peaceful work for 5 rather than these other jobs of 1,000 words for $2 with days worth of research freelancers are picking up right now. He's a great guy, don't be rude to him because you think it's low budget. If you don't like the price, don't look at the post or bid and just turn around and find another job. Being rude is also a way to lower your reputation as a freelancer. Treat others the way you want to be treated not be rude and call them cheap when they aren't.
