Description
Experience Level: Entry
I'm looking for a freelancer who is as passionate about film as myself to help me with writing an article (around 750 words in length) about why it's important to support UK cinemas and the release of Christopher Nolan's TENET.
This blog will be published on my personal LinkedIn profile on July 26th, TENET's release day. The blog will need to be written as if I've already seen TENET for the purposes of getting this published early on the 26th while the topic is trending.
Points to include:-
- I've visited the cinema four times in July since UK cinemas reopened. Firstly, to see Unhinged starrting Russell Crowe, a 10th Anniversary IMAX screening of Inception, The Dark Knight and finally TENET - the release we've all been waiting for.
- I've visited three different cinema chains Cineworld Sheffield, The Light Sheffield (where I am an Infinity Card Holder) and Vue Manchester Printworks where I saw TENET in 70mm IMAX with my good friend Olly.
- All cinema chains had fantastic measures in place. I've experienced a mixture of half-full screenings, quiet screenings and a sold-out screening of TENET which was lovely to see. Of course, a sold out screening doesn't look the same as it once did pre-COVID as there are at least two seats left between households/parties.
- As a glasses wearer, wearing a face mask can become very hot and steamy, but as I've adapted to wearing one, this doesn't affect my cinema experience in the slightest.
- Lots of hand sanitiser was available at each chain, and crowds were respectful of following the guidelines, with everyone wearing masks and only removing them for eating and drinking
- Watching films on streaming services at home is all well and good, but the cinema is an experience you can never recreate at home
- As a freelancer working in digital marketing, I'm always online, and the cinema is the only place I can truly switch off and get lost in film
- It's crucial that we support cinemas and the release of TENET as many other studios are watching the success of this release before deciding whether to release other new movies
- TENET was incredible, full of practical effects and a film that needs to be seen on the biggest screen possible. It will blow your mind!
- the feeling of safety will only come from us taking the chance and visiting the cinema.

Other blogs I've written, this one needs to be done in a similar style:

It's important that the title is strong to draw people in. This piece could potentially get a big response!
Ideally, if you could get the piece back to me by Friday 21st, that would be great.
Ultimately, I want it to encourage people to return to the cinema!
If you're as passionate about film as me, please do send a proposal! UK Freelancers Only.
Thanks
Harvey
