Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Industry: Environment
Topic: Markets for Recycled Materials
Tone: Formal/Professional
Extensive research needed: yes
Extra notes: Due date: 0900 hours GMT Wednesday 23 August 2017
Report on Markets for Recycled Materials
Requirements
We are looking for background information, appropriately referenced, on the markets and end uses for the following materials which have been separated from residual household waste (also called “black bag waste”) at a materials recovery facility.
• Ferrous metals
• Non ferrous metals
• Mixed Plastics
• Paper
• Cardboard
The recycling facility is based in the UK.
We require the following:
a) Commentary on the factors affecting the markets for each of the materials
b) Commentary on the likely trends of demand and prices for each of the material types
c) Identification of the risks to each market. This should include legislative change and the potential impacts of Brexit
Please note that these materials are not dry recyclables materials that may have been collected separately from householders or as part of a co-mingled dry recyclables collection.
