Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: indefinate
Num. of articles: unspecified
Words per article: 500-600
Blog url: not set
Industry: Education
Topic: Slang
Tone: Witty/Sharp
Outline & Structure: SLANG WORD/TERM (noun/verb/adjective...)
DEFINITION
HOW IT IS USED
DIALOGUE (it is important for this to sound authentic, and humourous)
ORIGIN/EXTRA INFORMATION
EXAMPLE IN THE MEDIA (youtube link to a song, a picture of a tweet etc.)
(approx 100-150 words) x5
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: Who we are: We are a language learning company offering courses in the UK, Ireland, the USA and Canada. We are expanding our website to include slang terms for the different cities we teach in.
What we need: We need native English speaking writers to write articles of approximately 500-600 words. Each article will consist of the Top 5 slang terms in (insert city here).
What we pay: We pay $10/article
When to start/end: You will start immediately, and as there is no deadline, finish when you have no more cities to write about. Termination of the agreement can happen by either party, at any time.
What we are looking for: We are looking for fun, creative, sassy writers that aren't afraid to be controversial, use bad language and dodgy grammar. The articles will include examples of dialogue, and will need to sound authentic - so don't be afraid of talking about anything from sex, to drugs and everything in between. We're looking for authenticity. What people say on the streets. We're looking for humour, and a quirky style. Please look at the example of 'Jawn' from Philly, which has been attached.
If you think you fit the description, please send us a example article of ONE slang word from ONE specific city, in the same format as the Jawn example (about 150 words).
We look forward to hearing from you!
