Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are looking for an English teacher with many years experience teaching young children to write high-quality lesson plans following our step-by step guide.
The children are aged between 6 and 7 and for each lesson plan, there are specific vocabulary, phrases and grammar that need to be followed with your lesson plan. In addition, each game follows a sequence;
1. Elicit sentence / phrase and practice it with the children - Use examples and questions for students to get them used to the Target language
2. Explain the Grammar concept - Describe how you would go about explaining the grammar concept to the children
3. Game A: TPR Listening - Use the Target Language in sentences to have the children listen and respond. The children will already know the vocabulary, so they need to hear full sentences in context and respond
4. Game B: Guided Speaking Game - In a controlled setting where students speak the Target language one at a time allowing the teacher to correct where necessary.
5. Game C: Natural Speaking Game - Usually in pairs, all students practice the target language in a game setting with the teacher assisting the children that need help.
6. Relate the Language to the students - Give the target real meaning by associating it with the students and their daily lives
7. Game D: Relate the language to past language - Combine the target language with past structures to help students build a mental model of how English fits together. I will send a curriculum of what we are studying so that you know which kinds of topics you could combine the current lesson's language with.
All four games need to be fun, interactive and at the appropriate level for the children. These lesson plans will be used by teachers with 4-6 children in their class as well as teachers in the extra scholar language classes in schools with up to 12 students in a class.
You only need to write short descriptions of the ideas and games, so that the teacher understands it and it fits within the box.
Attached is an excel document. At the bottom are the Tabs 'Example Lesson Plan' and 'Your Lesson Plan'. Have a look at the 'Example lesson plan' to get an idea of how to plan, present and write your lesson plan. Then in 'Your Lesson Plan', follow the Vocabulary, Grammar and Phrases to be used and make sure the ideas and games use them.
In total there are 40 lesson plans to write for 1st Grade Primary and 40 to write for 2nd primary. There are many more but lets start with this.
You would write the lesson plans within an online database that you would access, along with any materials (Flashcards, Game boards etc) needed for the games would be uploaded as well.
You would need to submit a minimum of 5 lesson plans a week, as these lesson plans will be used in many classrooms the week after you have submitted them.
The remuneration for this ESL Lesson Planning is $5 per lesson plan, so up to $400 for these two grades and much more if we continue working together to write the rest of the lesson plans as well.
Thank you for your effort and we look forward to reading your Lesson Plan Ideas.
