Write 2 x 1200 word retail trend reports

Outline & Structure: Hi, I'm looking for someone to research and write two articles on retail trends.

The things you research and write will then be given to a designer and turned into three PDFs that can be downloaded from the Insider London website.


The titles of the two documents are:

1) Top Retail Trends for 2014 – this should cover around 4-8 of the most important global retail trends for this year, such as omnichannel, personalised shopping, etc. You'll need to give a few examples of stores that fit into each trend and describe them. I'd like to see stores from London, New York, Tokyo and elsewhere.

2) The Most Influential Retail Stores for 2014 – this should cover 10-12 of the stores that best highlight important upcoming retail trends. Eg the Burberry store in London, with all of its technology, and a popup store that is off the beaten track, that can now be found because most customers have smartphones. As well as describing the initiatives, you'll need to discuss the trends they highlight, and give an idea of what might come next.


It's fine to have some overlap between the content of the documents (eg the first may talk about tech in stores as a trend, the second may say that Burberry is an influential store because it uses tech so well). The two documents will be promoted separately, so that's fine.

Please submit your articles with images of the stores/trends that are at least 500 px wide.


When you respond, please tell me when you will submit the final piece (assuming I accept your proposal by this Friday).
